After a few final touches recently, I figured it was time to take a little peek in our guest bedroom. This room has a great mix of hand-me-down furniture, pieces that have moved with us a few times, and some new finds from our favourite haunts.
The goal was cozy comfort (on a budget!) and I think we managed just fine. We even occasionally find ourselves being our own guests on particularly hot nights, as the basement always seems to be the perfect temperature. A little getaway within our own home!
Some of the details in the room include:
-Dresser is a hand-me-down from Grandparents.
-The bed frame was a wedding gift
-Bedding is from Ikea (duvet and duvet cover and pillowcases)
-Tree artwork is from Ikea, along with circular mirror on the dresser
-Paris themed artwork (actually a room divider), from Rona
-Star mirror and mother or pearl lamp are from Homesense
-Bendy lamp, curtains, and side table are all from Ikea
-Crystal closet pulls and curtain rod are from Home Depot
-Green floral cushion is home made
-Pink floral cushion is from Tin Box
-We re-covered the floral stool, and it was a hand-me-down from my Dad
-Green glass water carafe and drinking glass, Urban Barn.
-Quilt on the foot of the bed, home made (handstitched!) by my Mom.
