It is that time of the month again! Our Home Depot Gift Challenge. This month is sisal rope, chosen by the girls over at Home Made Interest, to be gifted to our best friend.
What better to be given to your best bud than flowers, in the Summertime? Am I right? I’m loving these coral-pink petunias, but that black hanger pot from the greenhouse isn’t doing it for me.(This post may contain affiliate links. See what I mean? We can do better, and I promise, this is the easiest upgrade ever! Yes, ever. If you can operate scissors, you’ve got it made.
^ Look at that, so easy, so sweet and what an upgrade! Here’s how to get there…
Take a good look at your pot. Mine had the upper hook attached with these plastic clips. All I needed to do was cut the long hanging portion, away from the bottom clips. Yep, just snip them off!
Then attach your sisal rope by looping it through the hole and creating a nice big knot. This will catch on the plastic clip and you’re good to go. Doing it this way (as opposed to tying it on), keeps the connection totally hidden while it’s hanging.
Looks like it came this way. Love it.
Told you this was the easiest upgrade ever! So go out, grab some sisal rope, and ditch those ugly plastic hanger tops! It literally took 10 minutes. Done.
Be sure to check out all the other sisal rope projects this month, from my super talented blogger friends! Thanks for visiting!
I really love this upgrade! The rope looks so much better, and I appreciate the simplicity of this DIY. I have to pick up a few flowers to span out the season for us, just so this new-to-us home looks like it’s loved! I will keep this project in mind. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Sheila! Yep, love simple, little changes!
I love this! I don’t think I can ever hang a plant again without doing this! What a small but huge change! Thanks I’m going to head outside and do it now! :)
