I’m so excited you’re here today! Not only is it “big reveal” day, but it’s also GIVEAWAY day! (You can enter for your chance to WIN some pretty cool prizes, at the bottom of this post). *Update* – this giveaway is now closed. Thank you to all who entered!
If you’ve been following along with me, you might recognize all this bluey goodness, as the new, soon-to-be nursery. We’ve been in this home for about 2 years now, and this room was pretty much untouched, stuffed with furniture, and a bit… Smurfy…
Yep, not a lot to share. It was a glorified storage room… until now! (This post may contain affiliate links. This means, should you end up making a purchase, advertisers give me a small percentage of that sale, at absolutely NO EXTRA COST to you. Click here for full disclosures).
It all started with a clean slate. 2 walls got a fresh coat of white paint, and the other two got soft grey. I like to keep my nurseries gender-neutral, so I created some contrast with black, and added a little yellow and red, for punches of colour.
I adore these wall decals! (This is where the giveaway part, comes in, wink-wink). I had already been thinking about doing this kind of wall treatment when I discovered Lisa, at Clever Arrow. Or, she kinda discovered me, and out of the blue asked if I’d be interested in checking out her adorable decor products — “Umm, are you kidding?! Yes, please!” These were EXACTLY what I had in mind. (Funny how that happens, isn’t it?) Imagine my excitement when they turned out to be just as fabulous as I had hoped — But, before we get too ahead of ourselves, let’s check out the rest of the room…
(Oh, and that art? I had some left-over Ikea fabric, that I cut to size, and tossed into an Ikea frame. Easy-peasy).
These triangular beauties were the perfect back-drop to the crib. I’ve always liked the idea of the black-and-white sensory recognition for babies — that is pretty cool stuff!
My “on-the-cheap” updated closet doors reflect the geometric vibe on the opposite side of the room. And that gorgeous vintage dresser, and vanity, keep things feeling warm.
That great Ikea alphabet print, helped to inspire the hits of red in the room, along with that amazing Ric-Rac Rabbit printed fabric, you can see in the quilt above. ^
Another gem from Clever Arrow, are these custom-coloured, felt, garlands. I added mine to my window treatment, to help jazz up that much-needed blackout shade. I had some curtains on my mind, but I love this clean white look and those garlands are the perfect pop of colour!
And, there’s my Frankenstein rocking chair! Did you catch that the first time around? I’ve been enjoying having it in there… it got prettied up a little with that red cushion I found at HomeSense, (remember, these?) that I customized with one perfect little Ric-Rac Rabbits, fabric-covered button, tuft.
My clothesline photo display is still doing the trick, and the Kiddo likes to switch out her artwork, often! Those adorable little hexagon shelves are from Clever Arrow too, an early design that I got a special sneak peek of, so keep your eyes peeled for those in the future!
Now, for some fun! Not only is there an incredible giveaway of some Clever Arrow goodies (be patient, you’re almost there), but it’s also FREE PRINTABLE TIME! Just click here, or on the image below, to get your own high-res PDF of my fresh “Wanderlust” print! (Did you spy it, hanging from my clothesline photo display?) It’s FREE for your personal use, but please do not re-create, distribute, or sell — copyright laws apply). :)
Alrighty then, was that as much fun for you as it was for me? Now for the REALLY good part — more free stuff! Lisa, at Clever Arrow has generously offered up not one, but THREE prize packs giving you triple the chances to WIN some of her amazing home decor products. And, she ships worldwide folks, so if you are reading this, make sure you get to entering!!

I really like how simple but put together this is. I especially like the crib. We have the same one just in solid espresso. I like the decal pattern accent wall. So much easier than painting or putting up wall paper.
Thanks Kimberly! Isn’t it a great crib, we loved it with the first Kiddo. I agree about the decals, and so much less commitment down the road! :)
