Here we go again! Time for week two of the One Room Challenge, and my little girl’s bedroom design. This week I gotta talk inspiration — not because there isn’t much change to show — okay, it’s totally because there isn’t much change to show, but I digress. I do however have one important piece of the puzzle done, and it’s pretty great — but first, the pretty pictures.
I wasn’t sure how to sum up the bedroom design. I could collage a bunch of images of products together — but I still have a lot of shopping to do, and things are still pretty fluid in my mind. So instead I wanted to share a couple images that capture the spirit of the future room.(This post may contain affiliate links. First, is this gorgeous room courtesy of Caitlin Wilson…
Not a bedroom, but the vibe is on point! All that buffalo check and girly hits of pink and purple, mixed with strong black, florals and stark white walls. I can make your hands clap! Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch! (Anyone else digging that new Fitz and the Tantrums song?)

I mean, am I right? Who’s with me on this one. I think this scheme is perfect for my little lady of five, and will carry her through for a whole lotta years. Of course it’s always fun to tweak as the years tick by, but no need for an overhaul for a good long while.
And, then there were two…
I tucked this sweet little ditty away on Pinterest a few moons ago. The double twin beds were a jumping off point, and when I saw these beauties at my local thrift store, I immediately knew they were coming home with me for a little makeover!

How sweet and cozy is this space?! Lots of pillows, comfy quilts, and interesting art! Tons of inspiration to be had here. Let’s hope I can pull this thing off!
Now for my Bedroom Design “Win of the Week”…
New doors. No, let me start over. Not just any new doors but the doors that have been in my head for yeeeeaarrrss. It’s happened. The solid shaker three panel door is here. Wow!
Needs some hardware, but it is hung, and it is gorgeous!
Here’s the view from inside the room. I mean, c’mon.
Buuuuut. Then there is the rest of the room.
Still lots to do. Still everything to do!
Oh, and she’s primed. That’s a win. It’s almost like paint. Even though it isn’t. But it’s close! Just some paint, and trim, and all the rest of it to go… be sure to follow along next week for the next steps in my daughters bedroom design!
